Meet your instructors
Angie Lo
For Angie, yoga is an ongoing journey with endless wonders. Her passion for dance led her to attend the National Ballet School of Toronto as well as the Winnipeg Ballet School. She studied kinesiology at the University of Calgary with a minor in dance, and eventually travelled all over the world as a professional dancer, choreographer and yoga instructor.
She is a 500hr RYT yoga instructor, trained in ashtanga, vinyasa, hatha, yin, Core Power Yoga (Power & Beginner 26/2), prenatal, mom and baby yoga. Along with her love and passion for yoga, Angie took an interest in the human energy field and universal healing, achieving her certifications in Reiki Levels I and II.
Angie remains an active member in the professional dance and yoga community and feels very grateful to be able to share the gift of yoga through her teachings. She is genuinely striving for patience, peace and compassion for herself and others.
Natalie Samaco
Natalie began her journey in yoga in 2010 after having her five children. She was looking for a way to give calmness and peace back into herself and into her home.
She discovered hot yoga and fell in love with the practice and the community. Natalie was encouraged to start yoga training and took her first training with yoga kids. From there, she was able to expand her knowledge and practice when she took her courses in Vimana Vinyasa as well as partner yoga. Natalie continued her training with the Beginner 26 & 2 training and found her love for Yin.
There was a purpose to her journey and Natalie believes it has led her to continue to give back to the communities that have given her so much. She is grateful for her practice and for her journey.
Danny De Frias
No stranger to creating his own path, Danny left the corporate world to become a yoga teacher. Danny now lives his mantra everyday: chill out, have fun and smile more.
Danny is a RYT 500 certified yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga for almost 15 years. Danny’s classes are breath-driven and energetic with mindful attention given to body alignment and developing strength, flexibility and balance.
Danny now calls Calgary his home and loves road trips in his restored VW Westfalia van.
Brooke Meadows
Brooke discovered yoga in 2005 and took up a regular practise as a way to manage the pain of old injuries from years of competitive soccer. In 2008 she decided to take the 200-hour Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training with Yogrishi Vishvaketu. In 2009 she studied with a Calgary group under Jeff Mah, and in 2010 she completed the 500-hour Moksha Hot Yoga training in Kerala, India.
Through yoga, Brooke is continually reminded of how to simplify, to identify what is meaningful and to let go of the rest. She teaches to share her love of this ancient practice, and to simply share love, peace, acceptance and compassion with as many people as possible.
