OUR AERIAL CLASSES
The Ascension aerial program is focused on building a strong foundation of fundamentals. Our goal is to ensure that students feel comfortable in the air, and can continue to progress from a basis of strength, as opposed to just flailing about chasing skills that are well outside of their reach.
Nicole has been coaching and performing professionally since 2014. She is certified by the New England Centre for Circus Arts as a Foundations Level 1 instructor in aerial silks, hoop and sling.

TESTIMONIALS
Ascension has one of the best aerial programs in the city! The instructor team is highly qualified and experienced, they provide classes that are fun, progressive, and safe. In my time there I have really progressed in my skills and have had performance opportunities with such amazing support and guidance. The community is so welcoming and supportive; everyone is ready to cheer, laugh, and share our collective frustrations when things are inevitably challenging. It is AWESOME, highly recommended!

Having danced and performed since the age of four, I wanted to try something creative and artistic, but that would also challenge me beyond my current capacity. Learning choreography comes to me very naturally, but choreography upside down is something completely different I tell you!
Nicole has been an incredible instructor, not only for her expertise and personality, but also for her ability to encourage us past our fears, and past our failures. This is matched only by the supportive attitudes of the other participants. We all know we are doing hard things. We all know we are putting ourselves on the line and being vulnerable in trying something new and often out of our comfort zone. And in that, there is something extremely freeing. I get to show up and have no expectations of myself apart from learning something new and having fun.
For once, I get to receive in a way that challenges me to grow but removes the pressure of having to perform. The mental space this has created for me to unwind and re-create myself has undeniably spread to other areas of my life, as my capacity to give slowly increases.

I’ve been doing aerials for almost a decade and it has never lost its spark. Being in the air is my happy place, and frees me from the stress of the week, leaving me feeling beautiful and strong all at once. Aerials are the most fun (workout) you will ever have.
Nicole and Stacey are incredibly knowledgeable. They are so good at what they do that when you learn from them you always feel like you are on the cutting edge of what skills are out there. They are constant learners themselves – which means they know what it’s like (from very recent experience) to struggle, to feel stuck, and to push through what your body thinks it can do. Their training and performance journeys shine through in their coaching each week.
